About Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)

Ontario recognizes that employers play a critical role in our economic success. For many employers, newcomers to Ontario
are a valuable source of skilled labour. If you are an Ontario employer having difficulty finding the workers you need,
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program may be the program for you.

What is it?

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is an immigration program through which Ontario nominates individuals and
their families for permanent resident status based on a pre-approved job offer in the province. The Government of Ontario
established Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) to help employers succeed in the global competition for talent.
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has a target of 5,200 nominations in 2015, this includes nominations for both the
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) and Ontario Express Entry.

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program: Investors

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program allows Ontario to select economic immigrants whose skills match those needed by
businesses in the province. The investment component of the program helps companies making an investment in Ontario to
recruit or relocate key employees to ensure the long-term success of the investment. Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has
a target of 5,200 nominations in 2015, this includes nominations for both Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program and Ontario
Express Entry.

Employees of Companies making an Investment in Ontario

Endorsed and approved investments will receive nominee application packages for key positions for individuals recruited or
relocated by companies making the investment in Ontario. These prospective nominees will need to meet the same eligibility
criteria for foreign workers in the General Category; for example, nominee applicants will need to demonstrate at least two
years of work experience in the intended occupation or proper registration in Ontario if they intend to work in a regulated
occupation. Prospective nominees can find more information on eligibility criteria, and how to apply, by visiting the Foreign
Workers section of our website.

For investment nominee applications there is a non-refundable fee of $3,500. The fee can be paid by the prospective
nominee or by the company making the investment.
